I have plenty RC airplanes, tanks and even boats.ย The boats being builds that take months/years to complete ( Like this Tug,ย this Freighter and this Buoy Tender).
I build plenty static models as well,ย but this is the first real RC Car I have built.ย I was thinking of keeping it an on-road racer, styled/modeled like an endurance car, or group C car.ย ย The rally bug hit when I saw on YouTube a few videos of RC Rallys from Europe.ย Plus being an avid PC Rally race game fan it made it an easy second choice.
Went the upgrade route right out of the box, because I wanted to make sure any “oops” wont result in any major breakage.ย I also put in the sport tuned Tamiya motor over the kit motor, because… well why not.
I have a few sets of rims/tires and body combos – the 2007 Impreza, the Yaris and I am looking at a Porsche 911 for the ole’ Rothmans colors- but body/tires/rims that came in the kit are what is on it right now. I painted the rims with Duplicolor gold. I wasnt a fan of the molded plastic color.
